Fundraising Not every community service program can be funded with Kiwanis member dollars alone, often we need to reach out to others for help and support. Working together, the Kiwanis Club of Marco Island, our community's fulltime and seasonal residents, other service clubs, organizations, and businesses unite with one shared goal to accomplish ... serve the children of our community.
A partial list of "fun raising" fundraising events and activities include:
Hauser Turkey Fry Members Bryan & Rondi Hauser host our Turkey Fries. The turkey is so good that we're trying to get them to disclose their secret receipt. (click for pictures)
Each year as part of our support for the boat parade a $1000.00 is donate to the Hospice of Naples.
Car Show Member John DeRosa started this fundraiser in 2005. Since then it has become one of our favorites. This effort goes to support and fund the Scholarship Award program every year as well as other children and community efforts. Cars are entered by the various independent owners and several of the local car clubs (Antiques, Corvettes, Muscle and others).
Seafood Festival Kiwanis in conjunction with the two Rotary clubs on the island organize and run the Seafood Festival, which is our major fundraising event for the year. LOTS OF FUN!
50/50 Drawings At almost every Kiwanis Foundation fundraising event you can find a 50/50 raffle drawing. Over the course of a year this activity alone contributes greatly to our fundraising efforts.
