About Our Club The Kiwanis Club of Marco Island meets Thursday morning from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. for a business & breakfast meeting at Porky's Last Stand Restaurant;701 Bald Eagle Drive.As friends we share information about what's new with us personally, and as team of dedicated Kiwanis members, we discuss the various club projects and activities we each are involved in.

The Board of Directors meets the first Wednesday of each month from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. at the Marco Community Bank building on the corner of San Marco Road and South Barfield.

Look over membership roster, someone you know may already be a Kiwanis member, give them a call and ask for an invitation to one of our meetings. You are invited to attend one Club meeting as a guest of the Club.If interested in becoming a member, you are asked to complete a short membership application.The Board of Directors, which meets each month, acts on the application and you'll be informed of the Board's decision.At a designated meeting the following month and as an approved applicant, you will be oriented and accepted into the Kiwanis organization, and specifically the Kiwanis Club of MarcoIsland.As part of the application process, you will select which project committees you want to serve on.

The People Listed Below performed their Kiwanis tasks with dedicated service and are recognized for their outstanding efforts.
September 2007: Stevi Vann. Service and assistance during the transition period between boards. October 2007: Donna Niemczyk.Outstanding efforts not only with the Finances of the Club but her efforts with the Key Club at Lely High School and aid to the president. November 2007: Gina Sisbarro.Tireless efforts on behalf of the children's programs. Particularly the new K-Kids at Tommie Barfield and Lely High Key Club. Also, great continuity during the absence of the president. December 2007: John Coff.Chairman of the Toys for Kids which was a hugh program. Also for Chairing the Terrific Kids programs at the Manatee and Tommie Barfield. January 2008: Chet Kendzior.His very through work with his Finance Committee. Budgets and audits were flawless. February 2008: John DeRosa. For his chairing a most successful, fun and bursting at the seams Auto Show. Fantastic job! March 2008: Chuck Hall. fFor getting the Web site up to date and spending many hours maintaining it. April 2008: Dennis & Georgia Hess & Dennis and Joan Pidherny. For their constant support, dedication and willingness to make the club all that it can be. May 2008: Ian Murphy and Stevi Vann for chairing and doing an outstanding job on the Kiwanis Golf Tournament which netted over $26,000 for summer camp and after school programs. June 2008: Fred Twilla for assissting every meeting and all the things he does to make the Marco Kiwanis so outstanding. July 2008: Peter Weins for all his research on what to do with our Timeshare weeks and establishing the "weekend hotel packages" to raffle. August 2008: Kathleen Reynolds Always ready to lend a helping hand with Prayers and Sunshine..She hosted a beautiful social for the club at the Olde Marco Inn. September 2008: Rondi & Bryan Hauser for the endless hours they devote to the club at all events and making our club meetings more enjoyable. September 2008: Pat & Bill Holmes: for never saying No to any project or event and for chairing our First Annual Children's Health Fair.
Kiwanis Business Apprectiation Awards
November 2007: Michael Curiale of Global Maintenance & Restoration. Michael contributed $2,000 to purchase the Wishing Wells for an ongoing fundraiser project. December 2007: Bruce Hayne of Hoot's Restaurantfor placing our Wishing Well in his restaurant year round to benefit Kiwanis. January 2008: Jerry Koutroulisof Gene's 5th Avenue Florist. Jerry donated at least 180 new stuff toys for the Toys for Kids. An always willing supporter of Kiwanis fundraising efforts. February 2008: Mae Yousif-Bashi & Sun Times.Truly a friend of Kiwanis in Public Relations. The coverage of all our meetings, programs and events has been nothing short of terrific! Great pictures every week. March 2008: Richard & Nancy Michaels - Great Circle Learning given for their unselfish service and continuing support for all Kiwanis endeavors. April 2008: Todd Hildebrant - K-Mart store #7669 located on Tamiami Trail E. for supporting the children by allowing the Kiwanis club to purchase all of the needed toys at "rock bottom prices". May 2008: Chris Major, General Manager of the Rookery at Marco. Without his generous assistance the Golf Tournament would not have been such a terrific success. June 2008: Robert Galloway, Manager of Wal-Mart Supercenter #3417 for making possible a grant of $1,900 for our After School Summer Camp Programs. July 2008: Marco Island Civic Association for the nunerous times they have partnered with Kiwanis over the years and for allowing Kiwanis to do fundraising on the 4th of July Resident Beach Party. August 2008: Physicians Regional Health Care System - Collier Boulevard for always willing to give a helping hand. Platinum sponsor for the Golf Tournament and Sponsor for the Children's Health Fair.
