Meet our 2008 - 2009 President
Message from our President
Welcome to the Kiwanis Club of Marco Island and to another year of serving the children of the community, within Collier County and the world!   I'm very excited to begin the year as your president and I look forward to working with each and every one of you whether you are a board member, committee chair or serving on a particular committee.  We have a current roster of 87 members and growing!  Our Club plays a big role in developing a future generation of leaders by sponsoring Terrifi Kids and Reading is Fundamental Programs at both Tommie Barfield and Manatee Elementary School. We started a new K-Kids at Tommie Barfield last year and it is active and growing.  Builders Club at the Middle school is under way and we have a wonderful Lely High School Key Club, which we co-sponsor with the East Naples Kiwanis Club.  We sponsor scholarships for high school seniors, as well as, for after school programs and summer camp for children in need.

Come join us any Thursday, 7:30am, for breakfast at Porkey's on Bald Eagle Drive (your first one is FREE).

If you're a person with energy, talent and commitment to building a better future then you should be a Kiwanis member. And what can you expect from us in return?
  • Friendships built from a common dedication to helping the children of our community ...
  • The satisfaction of working on projects that solidly improve the lives of people in our own community, as well as in our surrounding communities, our state, and even our country ...
  • Leadership opportunities within our own club and our district, state, national and even international levels if you'd like.

So come and explore our site. See what we do and the great time we have doing it. Look over our Calendar of activities, review what we are all about, the service and support we provide to our community, the fundraising activities we perform and then come out and join us.
